I’m having a play with this wallet pattern.

I have a small leather skin I want to make one from but thought I should try it out first.

I was a bit worried when I finished it as I couldn’t press it properly due to using vinyl but DH suggested putting some weights on top for a few hours and that has really helped.

I need to thinks about jazzing the next one up a bit.

What a lovely wallet. Beautiful contrast lining, too.

This is my favourite wallet pattern to make because of all the adaptations you can do. I have made it in tweed and PU as well as cotton.

The pieced version (2 different fabrics) looks very effective as does the rounded flap available in her Facebook group.

You would need to use very thin leather if using leather and still keep cotton for the gussets

Nice job @Ellabella. I made one using a Vilene equivalent of Pellon 71F but it turned out disappointingly stiff. Now you've reminded me l must try again with some Decovil I bought later.

With PU or leather you wouldn't need a heavy interfacing anyway. Good luck with that.
