Finished this by appliquéing the name.
Now it's finished I think the second name disappears into the background.
I think I'll still give it though, most likely.
Pink and white - bit stereotyped - but when it's for someone you don't know well I think play safe.

That's very pretty Fajita. If you don't think the names show up enough you could outline them in a dark colour. Either hand buttonhole stitch or have you got any quilting stitches on your machine?

Oh, that's such a simple but good idea. Thankyou. I have a couple of blanket stitches. I'll have a play with that after I've walked the dog.

Very, very nice...
I agree about the
Louise
not showing very well but think, if you don't take Plosh's excellent fix that it could be turned into a ...Design Feature... sort of like an eye spy quilt.

That's a lovely little quilt and I agree the name does get lost a bit but I don't know that I would let it worry me. I like the idea of a bit of blanket stitch around the name perhaps to bring it more "out".

Very nice Fajita, I too would outline the letters, probably in dark red

Although the Louise does merge into the background the recipient will recognise it!
Emphasising the applique with a fancy stitch in a darker colour would help - do both names so that it looks planned.
