I like Swedish tracing paper too. I got it online from Wm Gee. They have a great physical and online shop.

I use baking paper. Very cheap, readily available, just the right thickness.

The only downside is that you have to stick / glue lengths together to make the correct width. Nevertheless, it's useful to have on standby.

Yes, you can. I used to trace all my purchased patterns onto baking paper, and it worked a treat.

I have two rolls of Swedish tracing paper, but will consider baking parchment in future.
