@Bjay  Pssssstttt...... :ninja:

I think she said the other day that she's doing XXXX as her third block colour. I think I might do Peridot as mine.

@Iminei is the narrow sashing going to be the same as BG fabric?

I am waiting to see the 3rd block pattern before I decide which gemstone, it could be emerald or amethyst :)

Yes, mine is ... I hope I have enough to complete it as theres no way I can find the same stuff ... hand dyed by a company that no longer exists ... Farne Fabrics, the couple retired between now and when I bought it !! :[

Those look so good.
To try to calm down the bg fabric I thought I may go for a block colour for the sashing in same grey shade.

Block 3 will be a peridot - fits with using family birthstones

Ooh - sounds as though it might be a good time to go and checkout my basket on Doughty's website!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Can I ask what thickness of wadding is best for this quilt.  I have 100% cotton but it seems quite thin?

Wadding is of course a personal preference but in my opinion 100 % cotton is ideal ... its the layering that makes a quilt  warm. If you want 'puff' or 'high loft' please go for the poly alternative.

Thanks @Iminei I do like the 100% cotton but when I see other peoples quilts it appears puffier and mine looks thinner.  They have a free p&p today on sewing street tv and they have wadding so I will check their prices.  I want to make sure I have enough to complete this mystery quilt  :)

I usually use 80/20 but have made one, which I wanted piggies from polyester wadding
