My new bag

I started this thinking I would give it to my friend for her birthday. I used what fabric I already had but I don't really like the fabrics together. The pattern is  This one

(I hope you're impressed, I've only just learnt how to do that!).

It's supposed to be interfaced with fleece giving a padded effect, which I didn't fancy. I couldn't find any heavyweight interfacing so I used a very stiff tulle which I already had and had used in this way before. It worked well until it came to the handle - having spent 2 hours trying to turn it through I chucked it in the bin and cut a new one from just one fabric instead of several like the bag. I used ordinary interfacing this time.

If I can get hold of some fabrics that go better together, I might have another go at it. I shall be looking for another birthday present!

It looks well constructed! I can see why the combination of fabrics may not have been your first choice but they do work together for that style of bag
