This is a quilt that I made for No 2 granddaughter for Christmas. I did attach a tail to each, using embroidery floss. I used a pattern that I found in a charity shop and, the first time I had tried foundation paper piecing. I was very pleased with how it turned out. I made 2 elephants and 2 companions.

This is the pattern I’m making for TSP Project Linus challenge.  I started it at the retreat I went to last year.  Must dig it out to finish.

There used to be one (Red Cross I think) in Gravesend where I could occasionally find textile or crafting stuff.  But, I haven't been shopping in Gravesend, or any other town centre for over a year now.

A lot of High Street shops have closed because of lockdowns, I wonder what the fate of charity shops is, or will be?

Thank you all for the nice comments. My local hospice charity shop is a place that I visit weekly - in the normal world - and I generally find something, either fabric, patterns or something sewing related. My best ever find was a partially completed quilt, that is about 4 completed blocks, along with some extra fabric, and parts of blocks. I went back the next week and found more matching fabric. I have no idea (but can imagine) why it was at the charity shop, but I loved it and felt very pleased when I completed it.

@Iminei I cannot remember how big, but big enough for a lap quilt, or a grand daughter's bed.

@Pearl I hope that you enjoy completing it. I just used scraps.
