Memory bear
« on: February 08, 2021, 10:29:58 AM »
Hi all.
I'm looking for a bear pattern to use to make memory bears with. I really wanted the simplicity 2115 but its not in print anymore and I can't find a copy anywhere but a new one came out the McCall's L9547 but can't find a copy of that either. Does anyone have a copy for sale or know where I can get one.
I want one without movable joints.

What way  is it sewed together because I bought a bear pattern on etsy 2 days ago but you sew all the body parts on separate and I didn't like that.

It does have moveable joints, so maybe not what you wanted?

What makes this a memory bear? That term is a new one on me.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

Its when you use clothes from a loved one who has past or some like to use their kids baby clothes to make the bear with them.

This is the bear that I have the pattern for, Guess it's what fabric you use that determines the 'Memory" aspect. I'm planning to make it from an old Witney blanket. Couldn't post this photo yesterday so here goes.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Does it really need a special pattern? I’d think you could use your fabric with any teddy bear pattern.
You can't scare me. I taught high school for 32 years.

What about this? I've not made any of their toys yet but when I was considering it and looking for a Dachshund (long story!) Lots of people on my fb groups recommended this site for toy patterns. This one is specifically a memory bear one but there is a similar free pattern if you sign up to their newsletter
