Hello from Winchester

I'm returning to textiles after some years; I've made clothes, done some knitting, taught myself (rudimentary) crochet, but nothing for ages. I now have more time for myself, and lots of enthusiasm, but little constructive or creative direction. I know I want to make stuff, I have lots of ideas, but I'm struggling a bit to develop them into anything more. I hope I'm starting to find my way .....

My main interests are cross stitch/needlepoint/embroidery and making textiles from crochet. I'm about to buy a kit from Emily Peacock to get me going, and I'm longing to get into a yarn shop to decide what I need to make a blanket.

I guess I'll have many more specific questions in the future, but would welcome any suggestions for resources, physical or online. I'm particularly curious about apps to design cross stitch/embroidery pieces, and any advice in putting ideas for designs onto fabric/stitch medium.

Thanks!!

Welcome to TSP @LisaSanchez.  I’m a few miles from you in Swanmore.
Sounds like you have plenty of interests to keep you busy.  In normal times of course you have C&H in the city.  They do sell online.  Otherwise there is

https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/

Lots of others too but these have a good selection.
