Welcome @jmatt  Cushion covers are a good start. I believe those 1950s Singers are great workhorses.

A big welcome from me too @jmatt !

Look forward to seeing some pictures of your projects - and your lovely 99k!  Such a lovely little machine!

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Hi John, welcome from me too.

Wet and windy? As a Lancastrian myself I used to get a bit fed up with the 'wet up North' tag but then when I was 30 we moved down south and it turns out it's true!  ;) Still here in the dry 38 years later but also still miss the place and the people.

Might want to look for some waterproof fabric if you want to use the cushions in the garden!  :| :S
Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.

Many, many years ago, on a bitterly cold, wet, very windy day, I had an interview at Lancaster University.  The student that showed us round the campus said, 'The weather's not always like this.  Sometimes it snows.'

(I can talk, I ended up in Wales!)

Welcome John!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.
