I am happy to be here. I have been sewing for 22 years and have been taking a break for the past 5 years due to burnout. I saw a dress about a month ago that I want to make, so that motivated me to start back sewing.

Hello
@RachelB
and welcome. There is a smattering of Americans here and doubtless they will make themselves known in due course.

Hi RachelB - delighted to hear your sewing desire has kicked back in. I hope mine doesn't take quite as long to reassert itself but being here keeps the good influences in my ear so hopefully you'll maintain it too.

Hopefully back more regularly! Ballroom sewing may be permanently paused but bag making is the current focus.
