Block 2 - The AQUAMARINE Star

@Sandra  yours are how they should be .,.. I couldnt achieve that, no matter how I hard I tried,  so went for the other effect which I prefer ...

The woman who initially put this block out changed her pattern halfway through as so many people were having trouble with the geese ....

After struggling with them for over a week (and countless attempts) I almost blew a fuse when I saw the revised pattern!!!

It's taken me three goes to complete my first block, but at least I have one finished. I'm not very happy with the colours - the centre is too dark, and the grey fabric with turquoise flowers looks very "dirty" but I'm not buying more fabric so it'll have to stay as it is.

I've cut out the fabric for the next one of these, so even though it's not very "aquamarine" it will be sewn (at some stage).

Finished all four today  but I can't put a pic up yet until I can get a better colour rendition. Currently the green looks like baby nappy beige and that's not right.

That is Spot On ... A perfect Block!

Yes the Dark is a bit too dark , but I wouldnt worry about the grey, theres enough turquoise within to lift it ...
So dont fret about it, when its all together it will look fabulous ... and you've got form in fabulous!!

Thank you @Iminei . Do you have any ideas as to what colour/tone would work in the centre block? I'm useless with colour.

Kenora, look at the Dark points and the light points you want something between that ... Wish you were nearer, I almost certainly have something you could use

This is my first attempt at the Aquamarine Star.  I was not sure about the light colour but carried on to finish the block. Not all the points seem to match, what went wrong?

I found this hard and the blocks are by no means perfect





My choice of BG fabric does not help I know

That was I think far the most difficult block of the 6 ... because of those pesky geese but you've both managed beautifully
