Nehru collar man's shirt pattern

Hi All,
As a newbie, I'm hoping someone might be able to help.  I'd like to make a man's shirt with a Nehru collar (different from mandarin, grandads collar etc).  Does anyone have a pattern?  The closest I've managed to find is an old simplicity pattern, 8209, but I can't find it in the size I need (neck 17).

Thanks for your reply and I may well have a go - but I'm not sure it's that easy as I think the tailoring is quite a bit of skill (or a good pattern) to get the collar to sit nicely.  I've found a shirt sold by Shanghai Tang which gives a really good view of the collar - I could pay £296 (not!) for the shirt, but would much prefer to make it.  My husband is British Asian and he wants to wear it to work (as opposed to the traditional shirt and tie combo).

That Nehru collar is just a straight band.  Could you not adapt a regular two piece collar pattern?

Use the collar stand pattern piece and shorten it so that it only reaches as far either side of the button band (if there is one) or a couple of cm short of CF each side if there isn't a button band.

It’s drafted the same as a mandarin collar but has a gap at the front.  The white shirt looks like it’s shaped slightly too.

Just pointing out that Helen has edited her first post to give a response, which won't show up as an unread post for those of you who use that facility!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

@Helen S: I found

It has the collar, but needs work to turn it into a shirt and is maybe more work than you are prepared to do.

The Nehru collar shirt is also on my to-try list. The  Butterick pattern helpfully posted above looks good and should be simple enough to convert to a shirt. I’ve just ordered a copy from Jaycotts - great value at £4.75 + £1.50 postage.

The sleeves could be swapped out from another Butterick shirt patten leaving only the opening to be formed.

Thanks All for your help and suggestions - I've just ordered the Butterick pattern too - I'll give it a go by combining it with a regular shirt pattern.  Will let you know how I get on!

A 'proper' shirt has a yoke at the shoulders - the Butterick pattern doesn't.
