That’s where I came in and stupidly volunteered to make the covers.  We went and chose suitable outdoor fabric for the seat cushions and found a large foam seat/mattress on my brother-in-law’s boat to fashion a back for the larger of the two sofas.  After searching through a stack of furniture destined for the tip we managed to find two foam seat cushion that I cobbled together with spray contact adhesive to form a back for the smaller sofa.

Then came the very messy job of attaching wadding (I think

They look lovely, you've made a fantastic job of covering them. I hope you have a return favour in mind as they owe you one!

They are wonderful - piping that big isn't easy, so you should be really proud of that. Snug enough fit to have come from an upholsterer ! :)

Just as aside - as you may have seen elsewhere, we have another member called Skatersmum.  The member we're talking with here is called Skater'sMum.  Could you take care when using the 'mentions' system (@whoever) and make sure you're choosing the correct person!  Thanks.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.
