What is the best thread for sewing Liberty Tana Lawn fabric?  I making a dress with an invisible zipper out of this fabric and I am concerned about puckering.

I prefer to use cotton thread for cotton fabrics.  If there is any stress the cotton thread will break rather than ripping through the fabric.

To prevent puckering in any zips I always use a strip of very light interfacing along the seam allowance to approximately 1” past the end of the zipper position.
My preferred interfacing is English Couture fine sheer fusible which does its job but doesn’t change the hand of the fabric.

This is wide so isn’t at all expensive.  If you use it it has stretch one way and no stretch the other way.  The no stretch should run up and down the zip seam allowance length.

but make sure it's a fine cotton thread, 50 wt or even 70 wt.

Should be @RachelB.  I usually use Gutermann cotton.
