I've used an off cut of blackout lining to make potato storage bag for the vegetable rack. It stops them going green as I don't have space in the fridge or a cupboard for a bag of potatoes.

I've also used some to make a peg bag for the washing line. Not the prettiest thing to look at, but very functional and it hasn't appeared to deteriorate due to UV (or rain!).

I made covers for my sewing machine & overlocker, lined with blackout lining to keep light off the machines which would make the plastic go yellow. This reminds me that the Euphoria is waiting for it's cover.

I've used the rubber backed stuff as extra ticking on my feather cushions to stop the feathers poking through, I've also used it as a water resist lining for some shopping bags I've made. It washes ok if you only use a 30c program and slow the spin speed down to around 200-400 rpm.
