Thank you Darling .. much better

So you dont go anywhere, you dont see anyone, you sit at home, having purchased some (very expensive) kit and do it yourself ?????

Im intrigued by the 24" square lap quilt (for an elf maybe) No kit that I can see and no page 65 for more details

16.00
Fun Chicken Lap Quilt
with Debbie Shore Sewing
This fun chicken appliqué lap quilt
project is a perfect introduction to
sewers new to quilting and free
motion embroidery, and the end
result is something that will make
you smile every time you use it!

www.debbieshoresewing.com

See page 65 for more details

You will need:
•       61 x 61cm (24 x 24 in) top fabric
•       76 x 76cm (30 x 30 in) backing fabric
•       76 x 76cm (30 x 30 in) wadding
•       9 x pieces of appliqué fabric, each 15 x
7.5cm (6 x 3 in)
•       Basting spray (505)
•       12.5cm (5 in) circle template
•       Paper-backed adhesive web (Bondaweb)
•       Erasable ink pen
Please Note: You will need to pre-cut
the following fabric pieces prior to the
workshop; there will not be time to do
this during the live class.
•    9 x 20cm (8 in) squares of top fabric
•    9 x 25cm (10 in) squares of backing fabric
•    9 x 20cm (8 in) squares of wadding
•    Paper scissors

Itstrue the only money to be made in craft is by selling kits @Puzzler

I think the only thing I would truly by interested in is the Sashiko with Susan Briscoe (?) she of the 1718 coverlet book  (must get back to that) but what is the effect you get a coloured piece like this

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

or a blue and white trad S piece???

Also knowing my prowess with handstitching ??!!! :S

Very interesting tho' Thx @Pearliepops

Yep, no getting changed out of your PJs, no schlepping off to the NEC.  Just sitting here with a glass of ice water and a piece of cake, enjoying a slow stitch workshop.

The only kit I'm tempted to buy is the indigo dyeing kit, just because I fancy having a go.  I'm also interested in the spiral bargello table mat, but I think I have enough fabric for that.
