Janome 605 - any info out there?
« on: May 08, 2021, 11:13:16 AM »
Hi everyone,

There is a Janome 605 near me. It looks a interesting machine. All I can find on the internet is some other people selling them either the Janome or New Home brand. They seem to be late 50s to 60s but I can't find any info about them. Anyone on hear got experience with old Janomes?

They changed from New Home to Janome branding around the 1990's @TomDrew .  Excellent machines, sturdy as well although with all there is always the odd lemon.  There's one advertised on Ebay at the moment for £150.  Probably very few stitches.  If you go on the Janome website you just might find a manual.

Just had a brief look at one for sale and it has 24 cams so does have more stitches.

Thanks @Gernella I should have just gone for it as it was on for £40. Sadly, with my dithering someone else got it. Nevermind!
