Errr, Burka tracing paper, Didi?? You need a pattern to make a burka?  ;)

Trace only if I have to! Use Burda tracing paper, felt tips and a couple of pins for stability

I just use a tracing wheel and copy patterns onto heavy brown parcel paper, it lasts ages and isn't as easy to tear as tissue.
I normally used muslin for toilles because I had free access to it when I was working however I'm finding that's a bit pricy now I'm retired to just throw away. I asked what some of the members here use, which I fully intend to try next time I need to make a toille, old curtains from charity shops and curtain lining.
