Yippee yours arrived today @whofilets - It is gorgeous and I’m so glad you chose the star one as I have some amazing fabric to put with it.

I will set up a google album today with photos of everyone’s fabrics and make up the packages to redistribute. I hope to send them Monday but if not it will be Tuesday as I am currently working around a husband who has had surgery, a cat who is refusing to eat (so will probably have to go to the vets on Monday) and I’m meant to be at work on Monday for the start of an inspection/review (I may be relying on zoom!)

Thank goodness for sewing eh?!

Yay! It arrived quite quick!
I'm asking for blues, cream/neutral/white, and/or space and star themed prints.
Also please no glitter fabrics- metallic print is okay, but no chunky glitter please!
And no "civil war reproduction" prints, which I realized after sending, that might be a more American thing :/ it's repro fabric of prints that were popular during the war on slavery and the antebellum south and I'm just not into it.

I'm so excited to see and feel all the fabrics! I'm also planning to make one  boom-block using scraps from everyone's fabrics

I like the idea of making a block using everyone's fabrics!

@whofilets I've got some Lewis and Irene fabric scraps that I think will go really well with it. They have little bits that glow in the dark (you can't tell at.all during daylight and you can't feel it either).  Would that bother you?

@RJR_38 glow in the dark is fine! In fact, I'm PRO glow in the dark.

It's my spouse that hates glitter. Plus they read something about glitter scratching someone's cornea, and they're VERY squeamish about eyes and eyeballs. So we are a no glitter household

I am just making up everyone's packages!
@fajita what requests have you got (or things to avoid!) For your fabric?  I will pop a note in each bag then to help people

@RJR_38 oh, nothing really. Perhaps floral/curvy rather than geometrics. But happy to work with what arrives.

I got excited and made a little "practice block" to get a feel for cutting from a fat eighth!

I used some Star Trek fabric featuring the Enterprise... and a couple blocks have an R2D2 themed print. for a Star Wars INTERLOPER.  0_0
I had some bonus triangles I made into those pinwheels. I used those to try my hand at a sort of improv-log-cabin with the pinwheel bases and all I really made was a MESS but it still might find its place in my final quilt! maybe on the back?

Ooh looking good though! I have started to think about what I want to do. I'm going to finish the hand binding on a bag I'm currently making then I'm going to focus on these blocks for a bit! As a lot of them are big prints I want to try and use them in unusual ways.

Everyone's packages went out today. 2nd class tracked for UK people and standard for Catllar so hopefully all will arrive soon!

You all have at least one package from everyone and because there are only 7 of us you will have 3 doubles which I allocated at random.

My parcel of F8ths arrived today - but I haven't had time to look properly yet as GD2 with GD1's baby have been here all afternoon so weve been playing with the hose pipe and walked down to the swing park.   It's art group this evening (things are getting back to a sort of normal) so I won't have time to audition until tomorrow.
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

I'm so excited they have started to arrive! I hope that domestic jobs will be quite quick tonight so that I can carry on with my bag binding as I really want to start these blocks ASAP. I'm using my journey time to/from work to begin deciding what patterns I might use.

@fajita auditioning looks fun in your sewing space!

Very excited to find a package waiting for me when I got home from school.  Had to check that @BrendaP’s fabric wasn’t the same as mine.
