Yes, as a long term supply teacher, I finished on Friday when the children did.

I’m sending you  :cake: :cake: :cake: to help you make it through the week.

I hope to make the rest of my blocks over the next couple of days.

Thanks - with this heat I would rather have ice lollies (or cold  :gin: ) haha. Yesterday my office was 39c at one point and walking into one of the Y6 classes was like walking into a wall of hot, sweaty and smelly air :x

Not exactly conducive to packing up my office to move but I will get there…

sorry for the radio silence for a couple weeks, I've been working a LOT, but I have a bit more time next week! I was still waffling on making @RJR_38 a third block or just sending her the two I have. I might have to go with option 2 so that I can stop waffling and make sure they get sent out in time!

I also bought a SECOND sewing machine- another vintage bernina- from someone in the next county north of me. I've hardly even played with the "new" machine yet!

I've just ordered the sashing for a different quilt-bee-boom-block set I was in, I have had the blocks for like 7 years now, though this boom should take less time!!! hahah!

So I’m nearly finished - I’ve just got one more on the cutting mat for Efemera. Here are 2 blocks for @Pearl, the second block for @whofilets (with more flow in the dark fabric) and one block for @Efemera

Pearl - one of your blocks measures just over 12 1/4 in one direction - I could either get the points to line up or it to be exactly 12.5 - I don’t know why! Hope it won’t cause you too many problems… so sorry

Oooh, @RJR_38 , they're gorgeous.

I've finished my block for @Efemera today, but I'm having technical difficulties so can't show you.  I've used the same pink as you, @RJR_38 .  I've used it in the block for you too so I'm glad you like it.

You all have so much imagination - and they're all so lovely.  I don't think I could make one and then clear my mind enough to make another so different.   :perfect10:
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

@Iminei the block with all the Y-seams was done by English Paper Piecing - so not as difficult as it looks! It was mostly made during the football matches
