As I have no urgent things needing made, I decided to do a bit of tidying in the huge sewing room chest of drawers.
I found polythene bags with unused blocks that I’d completely forgotten about including lots of half square triangles. I love the feeling of making something from nothing, so I cut them all to the smallest size 2.75” in square and came up with this. Think I’ll make a pieced duck ( which is very triangular ) for the centre and obviously tweak the layout of the colours. it’ll eventually make a good play quilt , I hope  :D
Needless to say the tidying hasn’t  progressed too well.

Such a wet day today, so I made a bit of progress. I made the pieced duck for the centre and have been planning out a rainbow border. Just learned that I have grandchild number 4 on the way, so maybe l’ll keep this for them, since I started it on the day I found out.  Obviously no rush to get it finished  :D

My orphaned HST block quilt is now finished. This is the one with the annoyingly rounded binding corners, but hopefully armed with new tips , my next quilt binding will be better. Other than that, I quite like how this has turned out  :D A good use of all those left over triangles.

I love that - and I actually like slightly rounded corners on binding.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

@Sheilago I really like that quilt. Well done - and if you hadn't mentioned the corners I wouldn't have noticed and I think I like them slightly rounded anyway, it gives it a softer look.
