I bought a fat quarter bundle last year, intending to make this quilt. The colours don't look right on the screen but you get the gist.

I hunted high and low in my sewing room last week, and eventually found where I'd stashed the bundle. However, a few of the FQ's don't work in my intended design, plus I need extra of the penguins and yellow foxes, and I want borders, backing and binding, so I had to order more fabric.
I found a shop on Etsy who sell the penguins, foxes and a matching chevron so I ordered those. The other fabric I ordered from my local quilt shop, but ... rant alert ... why oh why does it have to be so expensive - £15/metre minimum. I know I can afford it so I'm probably being a skinflint but it annoys me when I see people posting about cheap dressmaking fabric they've acquired from various places, but with quilting cotton it's almost impossible to buy anything of decent quality at less than £12/m. Rant over!
Hopefully I can complete this quilt in the timeframe allowed. If not, I'll still post pics but donate it to my local Project Linus. I'll do my best.
