Just finished this colour work cardigan did it in the round then steeked it

That is really lovely. I had not heard of steeking until recently and not had any need to try it so far.

if you've ever tried to shorten a knitted sleeve by unravelling from the cast on cuff you would realise that knitting is very difficult to unravel from anywhere but the top. When I shortened the sleeves on a cardigan with cables I ended up cutting the ends off with scissors and picking out the short thread ends.

Steeks scare the you know whatsies outa me!
Mind you, Brioche scared me for a few years as well but I love that process now.
