I goofed!

I goofed!
« on: June 10, 2021, 16:49:52 PM »
I wanted to embroider a Mickey Mouse face on a shirt. I got well into it before I realized that I had forgotten to orient it in the correct direction. It was way too late to restart or rip out the work. So Mickey will be lying on his side. if anyone asks why, I'll just tell them he was sleepy.

I embroidered a butterfly upside down on a nightie once - a big feature butterfly on the bodice that couldn't in any way look correct upside down.  And the only evidence that is left is the cut out piece of fabric!
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I’d do another Mickey ( mirror image) on the other side, so it looks deliberate  :D

Is chopping it out and sewing back on as a patch an option?

Or if you can figure out a way to walk around in the same orientation that your picture posted on here - Mickey will look just fine!

I'd mirror it on the other side and then perhaps do one of the right orientation beneath to make a triangle of Micky faces - looks like you meant to do it then!!  0_0

If I really want to conceal it, the easiest thing to do would be to sew an appliqué over it. But I think I’ll leave it as is & just let everybody wonder.
