Hi fellow fabric lovers I’m Cazlyn from Kent.  I’m 50 something and have been sewing on and off since I started using my Mum’s manual Singer to make Sindy clothes at the age of about 8.  I’m really good at starting projects but not so good at finishing them.  I have taken evening classes in curtain making and also dressmaking which I really enjoyed but my confidence in my abilities is not very high so I’m almost never satisfied with what I make.  I really want to make clothes for myself that fit, I always have to do a full bust adjustment and find that quite difficult.  Hoping to get lots of encouragement and knowledge from you fellow sewists. :)
Crafting is my happy place

Hello there @Cazlyn and welcome to TSP!

Help and encouragement in abundance here, and so many talented sewers and great enablers! Most of us have doubts about what we make, but with every project we get better and learn new techniques.

Look forward to seeing some of your projects.

Jessie
Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

Welcome to another Kentish Maid - or were you made in Kent?

Looking forward to seeing photos of your makes, and fire away with any questions; there is always someone who will know the answer.

@Cazlyn    Welcome to another from Kent, I can never remember if I'm a Maid of Kent or a Kentish Maid.  This is one of the friendliest sites and you will find plenty of help and advice from other members.

Welcome to TSP.
I think dressmakers particularly are critical of their makes and always striving for perfection.  Just look at your RTW clothes for a reality check concerning fit.  I bet yours are better!   :)
