Label your submission clearly as an entry, and number if you have more than one entry.

Sewing starts on 1st July and ends on 31st August. All entries should be posted by September 6th in this thread.

Let the sewing begin!

I'm packing up my house contents to go into storage as the house sale and purchase don't line up, so will be watching but not participating.

@Celia, yes and I've updated the wording in the first topic.

I've just re-read the rules and see that knitting is acceptable so I might be able to enter my scarf if I finish it. :)

Sorry, I'm struggling to do anything in the heat.

What Bodge said. I realized I'm running out of July and I haven't even gotten my pattern drafted and tested yet. I was going to amaze you with a hand saddle stitched leather tote bag with copper rivets where the handles attached.

Instead I have a very large box in my office with half a cowhide in it.  :S It was on sale of course.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

July is usually my busiest month so haven’t had time to do much sewing - so despite always having a bag on the go I only did a small clutch this month for my sisters hen party last week. I have just started a purse for my first ever paying customer as well (eek!)  However, I can’t not enter an accessories contest when that is my ‘thing’ haha!

All fabric is Tula Pink and I used a scrap of pewter PU I had. It meant I had to make an extra join in the wrist strap but I think it came out ok.

Pattern is the Harlequin pouch which I hacked to add card slots to.

Is there any chance we could have an extension on this competition as July was so hot, I have something I am doing but it isn’t finished.

I've never entered a competition before so hadn't thought about it.  However, just about 10 days ago I made two bags, one for my DS the other for his partner.

If it's OK to enter two I'll do the second on a separate post.

I made this washbag for my DS who loves cars and who's initials are MG so the fabric was just perfect for him.  It's lined with PUL so is waterproof too.
The pattern is a free one from Plush Addicts and I've now made 6 of these.

edited to reduce photo size, sorry.

Just read the rules properly.  This can't be worn so maybe can't be entered.

Second bag made for DS partner.
Pattern was a Spencer Ogg which I tweaked, removing the strap and adding a mag lock to close and also adding a chain so it can be used as a small bag.
I had to add an embelishment to the front as I, idiot that I can be, put the mag lock on the wrong side at first  :headbang: I think I got away with it though!

it has card slots and zipped pocket inside but I forgot to take photos.
It looks a bit crushed on the front as it had to be posted but it will iron out.
