@Celia
I'm going to get a 24" rigid heddle - probably another Ashford. I'm still keen on a table loom but I think I need to get a bit of weaving under my belt to know whether or not I really need / want one.

Absolutely fabulous
@Ploshkin
and better still a long seat to have a snooze on. So much room though and nothing cramped for room to manoeuvre.
I think you could say it has been all worth it.

@Ploshkin
yes I think you can learn a lot on the RHL and Ashford is a good make, if you don’t mind paying a bit more through do look at the Schacht
https://www.weftblown.com/collections/schacht-rigid-heddle-looms/products/flip-rigid-heddle-loom?variant=39325707783
they are easier to use especially if you want to do a long length and they are very strongly built.
They are quite a bit more money but if you really know what size etc it’s worth it, I had problems with my Ashford but I didn’t have a stand and the position I used it in caused me problems with my stomach muscles.
Looking forward to seeing what you do.

@Ploshkin
As if the room on its own wasn’t perfect enough, you then had to mention the river flowing nearby.
Mega envy…
Happy sewing! :thumbsup:

I think it's unanimous. We'll be needing a photo out the window to this river.
No one here is jealous. No one at all.

What a beautiful room. Love all the windows and am envious you can hear water flowing outside.
Enjoy your time sewing in your room.

What a fabulous room - and so tidy!!! As a really really creative person (
) all my surfaces bear witness to my ongoing projects (OK, I'll admit it, I'm just a messy madam and don't tidy up after myself!!)
