That's all ok.

It was earlier in the tut where you have the step saying all the pieces we have to cut out to make this block.
When I got to the part quoted above, I was short of a three inch square of bright and a three inch square of light for the HST's. The earlier cutting instructions said to cut two x two and a half inch squares of bright.

Maybe @fajita can confirm or not, if this is what she felt was a bit off...?

Or maybe it was me after all  -<

Ok. My notes as follows-

Mixing 3” measurements, which are also 2 7/8” measurements, introduces a little layer of confusion. Choose one and be consistent. You did explain the two measurements but it meant I was never 100% sure on this.

Half sq triangles -

Take your four 3” lt squares
And one 3” bright sq …… this square doesn’t exist

Pair with four background 3” sq
And one light 3” sq … this square doesn’t exist

These along with your 2 1/2” light sq (doesn’t exist)

No mention of medium block use anywhere - the photos are very useful for sorting things.

Not trying to be picky, @Iminei , I very much appreciate all the work you put into these :* THANKYOU.

Feel free to correct my corrections. It is very late and very

The same as I thought. Thanks Fajita. I'm relieved it wasn't just me.

If I'd have cut the pieces for each step as I went along I wouldn't have encountered any missing bits, but I was a bit low on the one piece of fabric I was using so cut all the pieces before making a start to ensure I'd have enough. (I had plenty.)

As Fajita says...  :* thank you for the time and trouble you go to putting these up for us.

Ok

I've altered the initial components instruction to

ONE 3" Bt Green sq
ONE 3" Lt Green sq

These make the Green HSTs for the middle of the block

The 2 1/2" Lt Green Sqs at the assembly stage have been corrected to MD Green Sqs

The 2 7/8th measurement is obvious (I think) as I clearly put my preferred cutting measurement of 3" and explanation in brackets underneath

And the confusion over the HST is a bit baffling as the picture clearly shows the sqs with the drawn lines and those without, which will be the bottom of the pairings ...

The only thing I think could have made it clearer is to have the photo with the drawn line triangles on the top row, as I mention them first. Ive tried flipping the photo but that looks weird so I have altered the wording in the tutorial ....

Next Step ...
Half Square Triangles!

From the Bottom Row
take your
FOUR 3" Lt G sqs and
ONE   3" Bt G sq and
draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the reverse of the fabric.

Place Right Sides Together (RST) with the
FOUR Bg 3" sqs and the
ONE 3" Lt G sq
from The Top Row

and for you here I have Labelled the sqs below.

Hope this makes things clearer ... Apologies for any confusion
any other corrections needed let me know.

This s my first of Block 5 Emerald.  I am not sure I like the colour combination and some points are missing.  I struggled with the thickness around the sq in sqs.   The mid green has shown a bit on the blue side but it is more green. Critique on colours please?

Edit: I erroneously cut off the side points when I photographed it, they are there, I assure you :)

Looks great to me. I'm kind of wishing I'd done my squares with a pale background.
