They're gorgeous @b15erk  :D

I still haven't started mine, things seem to get in the way. We're off to the theatre tonight and I won't be able to read the pattern in the dark  ;)

Mind you, we are having new windows fitted throughtout the house next week and I have to dismantle most of my sewing room so they can fit those so knitting may be my only option. Or gardening if the weather's good.

@Flobear you can't garden when it's dark!  A bit of knitting every evening when you're not at the theatre ..... You'll soon have some socks.
Life's too short for ironing.

I've finished my pink and blue socks!

They are rather bright, but will keep my feet warm. I may get some bamboo yarn and try some more.

Pink and blue socks won't open here either.
Mine tells me that a jpg marker segment is too short. Lord alone knows what that means

I don't know what was wrong with the last photo, but I've resaved and renamed it.

Lovely @Starryfish , very pretty.

I’m still turning my first heel so very glad to know others haven’t started.

@Starryfish , your socks are lovely!! Wish I could do knit in different colours without the yarn pulling at the back...

I started my second sock yesterday, before I managed to hurt my middle right finger.  It's a finger which has been injured before many years ago, and is very painful to knit with.

I'll give it another go today, as I'd really like to start on my second pair.

@b15erk , the socks are knitted in a self striping yarn (Regia) so I can't claim any particular skill! The ball is in two parts so you get two identical socks.

Ooooo, that's clever @Starryfish !

I ordered some Regia yarn last week, but I don't think it's self striping... I must check...

@Starryfish they look great, I have used that yarn once and it is very good, I love knitting proper fair isle but the floats on socks even when knitted in make the socks a bit too thick for me.

I unpicked my garter stitch heel last night as it just didn’t look right so that’s today knitting.

I am hoping to be back to knitting socks this weekend. My test project is almost completed and I will be happy to see that project done. It was a lot of knitting and we were under pressure to complete it as fast as possible.

I'm loving everyone's socks. Job well done sock knitters.

Not down to the heel on my first sock yet.  Not worth a picture - they are plain fawn, for a Certain Person.  It is a fine twist merino, and I keep catching my needle in the yarn and splitting it.  (but not noticing till 5 rows down) I prefer the self striping, you feel you are making progress when the pattern emerges.
Yarn down:  1000g
Fabric down:  29m
