]After a very enjoyable time at Doughty's the fabric has been sorted.
This is for a 15 year old with strong ideas and she wanted a red background
It's a good thing I am now accumulating a small stash as one just didn't work but I had an alternative available.
It was hard transferring pretty pastels of original pattern into  'teenage bright'

Well I have begun. A lot of different fabrics to cut to various sizes, few are the same size

I must say once i changed the blade in the rotary cutrer it was so much easier - it glided without cutting myself

I did my own version of that for great niece when she was born nearly two years ago now.

@Iminei  I’m not sure. The stripe on mine was from the same group of fabrics that I bought as a set of fat quarters and can be seen as ribbons on the front. I bought yardage for the backing and enough to use to bind as well. The stripe runs up the fabric so it was just wof and joining. I like striped bindings when it fits with the fabric used.

@Bjay it might have been me - I’ve posted the link up a few times as it is one of my favourite simple quilts to make. It is FQ friendly and looks so different depending on the fabric choices! I love the bold colours you have chosen

These ribbon quilts look quite interesting. But @Iminei that one's going into my "if I ever decide to quilt" folder. Its looks like a really challenging, colorful crossword puzzle full of 1/4" seams!

Just made just over half of the quilt top. Will finish tomorrow but need to make a border.
I am thinking of a double one, one would be the Bg red but I'm thinking grey for the other to try to tone it down

As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."
