I have finished piecing my top, adding 1" (f) sashing and cornerstones and a 2 1/2" (f) border
but you can assemble the top as you wish. Its your Quilt!

If you wanted to make a slightly larger rectangular quilt just make one more of blocks 2,3,4,5 and 6 and follow the pattern*

As you can see there are FIVE units for Blocks 1 and 3 so could be  can be interchanged and Blocks 2,4 and 6  have  FOUR units so you can change their positions too ....

The only Block that cant be moved is Block 5 which only has three units ... (unless that is you make another!!!)

Find the layout that please you best or make your own up!

Im not too happy with my border as I had to piece it to get the length
and had very lil background fabric to do it with so may yet have a play and add a lil detail.
I will update you here if I do.

* If interchanging the blocks and using a different placement to mine,
Look carefully at which five blocks you need to make.

I spent a lot of time placing and replacing blocks yesterday and almost came up with same design. Love the effect of the corner stones  :perfect10:
Now I think I will do something do similar but not until tomorrow

Beautiful  :D

As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."

@Flobear , I've only done the first blocks (ruby), so if you want to join the stragglers group, you wouldn't be alone.

Having seen yours, @Iminei , I will certainly keep going.  Your quilt is gorgeous.  Absolutely breath-taking.

@Flobear - I'm in the stragglers group too!  :P I'm still struggling with the Sapphire block (I think - at least mine's sapphire) - I'm not keen on the thickness I get when I join the flying geese with the square in a square. I think that's why I rarely make this kind of block. -<

@Iminei - your pieced top is very eye-catching, and I love the little cornerstones.  :loveit:
