This is proving to be more problematic than I thought it would be.
The trousers are just plain black so they're done.

The top isn't so straight forward, or at least the stripes aren't.  They need a jagged top edge, so I've cut into them, then sewn them on, but when I hold the fabric upright the jaggeddy bits sag.  Trying a bit of glue along the edges now...

Pics in a bit, just having lunch.

Stiff interfacing suggestion here too.  But the stuff drink isn’t a bad idea!

Yay, finished!  Apart from the tail, but I have that all worked out.

I just hope it fits him, and the neck goes over his head!

I should have guessed really - my daughter has now asked if I have any fabric for a cloak for her to be Meg - and then she said they just have to work out how to make my almost-son-in-law into the Owl.

So the rest of the black fabric is put ready to go, along with a Mog mask (which he may not wear!) and now an owl mask and a white sheet.  But I've just realised the owl still needs a beak!
