For @Diane. Just to say - you can do free motion embroidery on your sewing machine, as I am sure that you probably know, so I am sorry if I am causing you offence by suggesting otherwise.

I have recently started to get to grips with free motion stitching and I really enjoy it very much. I sketched this mushroom on a piece of paper before stitching it. It is on felt, with a piece of stabiliser at the back. This piece of felt was to hand so I used it.

@charley Yes, I done fmq on my lap quilt, quite easy to do but I need more practice to be more consistent but find it quite relaxing
