I have used the self thread needles for years and i have only seldom had a problem with them losing the thread. But would they not be a little short for quilting?

The boarder is phenom! It was pretty before you added the border, but now it really snaps!

I always use an embroidery needle, perle no 8 thread and do big stitch quilting.

Finally finished my table runner and i'm super pleased with it, my poor fingers are a tad sore but i really enjoyed doing it.

@Celia Thankyou...That is a dormant orchid that have just finished blooming for the past 6 months, it will sit there until it shows signs of a new stem.
It's taken me four days to make this on and off, lots of small pieces were needed to make the border but i think it sets it off quite nicely. The plus side is that it keeps my mind occupied and less time to worry about anything else
