Hellooooooooooo!
Rather than start a whole new thread for the sake of one piddly question, I'll ask here.
Am I right in thinking that a 'block' is made up from a backing layer to which all sorts of weird and wonderful shapes are sewn onto having been pieced into some resemblance of a pattern?
I assume that no wadding is required from each of us otherwise they'd all be different materials and weights and as such will be added by the boss (Iminei) along with the backing to the final 'project' ?
Does one add their own quarter inch for piecing so making each block actually 12 1/2" or 8 1/2" square?
Does my lack of block making experience scare the rest of you?

Errrrm its starting to ..... :S

A block is just one layer of fabric. Different fabrics cut to the desired shape and then pieced together to make a block.  No wadding or back layer.  :)
