Sew something simple....
« on: November 08, 2021, 17:56:14 PM »
I’m in the very early stages of planning a patchwork jacket…. This could take some time…….  :faints:
So spurred on by the advice on this lovely forum I thought I’d try some beginner friendly projects to learn the skills I’ll need for my jacket.  :)

I saw a Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine in the supermarket which happened to fall into my trolley. Funny how some things tend to do that…. magazines….chocolate…mince pies….gin...

It’s got quite a few ‘simple’ patterns I’d like to try. The easiest project in there is probably this bag.

I’ve changed it slightly as rather than have one large QAYG piece  I made three smaller ones and cut a template shape out of each one. Anyway this is as far as I’ve got…..

I'll do some more tomorrow.

I can see why you lovely lot get 'trapped' in the darkside.... ::bat::

I blame that tempting hand quilted table runner! :loveit:

The magazine is this one

It came with a booklet of 6 Christmas projects

So lots of things to do to keep me out of trouble.

@Lemon Syllabub Thanks for that, it may fall in to my shopping basket tomorrow  accidentally of course

What i love about P&Q is that you can just get lost in it, it keeps my mind occupied and i stop stressing about things that aren't worth stressing about.

That looks lovely @Lemon Syllabub . Really neat work and good fabric choices.

I've kept very, very, very quiet about my patchwork and quilting - them thar darksiders will have me dragged in kicking and screaming before I can say QAYG.......

Tiptoes off, hoping no one from the darkside notices this post....... :P
