The machine pieced version has traditional rotary cutter instructions as well as template instructions.

I quite like reverse engineering patterns and working out the details myself, but I recognise that this isn’t fair to the original designer.

This is, I expect, primarily focused on an American market who love all that template stuff.

When I first started I bought a set of Marti Mitchel templates but used (some of) them only once as I found they were too fiddly to hold and cut around, a recipe for cut fingers and thumbs I believe.

There is nothing you cant do with a good ruler ...

As for this, I think I'll give it a swerve ... If I was/you are lucky enough to have a dedicated sewing room where you can leave stuff out it would be a different matter.

I have done these block a day sewalongs and had fun with them too but this one isn't floating my boat.

Well I must admit the FPP option had my little ears pricked up but after having a look at it I dunno.....I'm not a huge fan of traditional blocks (says she currently constructing a gazillion squares and wonky flying geese blocks  :faints:) so may give it a miss. Besides which, I'm only managing about 30 minutes sewing a day at present with this wretched shoulder/s of mine.
Juki TL2010Q, Juki DX7,  Singers: 1917 27K treadle (aka Gertie), 1957 99k (aka Vincent), 1951 99k knee lever (aka Shirley), 1950 99k handcrank (aka Alice), 1927 28K (aka Dora), 1947 201K treadle with motor conversion (aka Livvy)
....and the dusting and vacuming can wait!

@Pearl

I would suggest that the bulk of the quilt be in Tula’s True colours.
I can highly recommend the retailer lovelyjubblyfabrics as she is probably the only UK retailer who sells absolutely every single in print fabric Tula is doing. There are a lot of Tula solids as well. You may want to top it up with Curiouser (her last range), Daydreamer (just come out) or Tiny Beasts (due out in late May)

There are a lot of other OOP fabrics but the prices shoot up…

She quilted the view from her window every day

Ahhhh! Ok ... a bit like the temperature quilt we did in 2019 then

Unless she's living on a demolition or construction site the view from her window isn't going to change much day by day ,except for the colours.  No wonder her quilt looks a bit boring.
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

lovely jubbly fabrics are on an industrial estate about 10 miles away from me ... but their website says they are 'temporarily' closed ... maybe just to walk in customers ??

@Iminei , Google says they are closed indefinitely. Their actual website says they are a mail-order only business. It says international orders are closed indefinitely due to concerns of being Brexit compliant while the Ferndown shop is also closed indefinitely. It then points out they also have click n collect available for locals. You gals can all still indulge.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

Beautiful colors! That's a really great idea, helps to stay motivated and keep working on what you like.
