I’ve no idea @Lachica.  They are just designs advertised for that purpose.   I’m not likely to ever try it.

Perhaps it makes use of the fact that toilet roll disintegrates in water - a cheaper way to achieve machine embroidered Lace ?

A friend of a friend sells them there toilet rolls for £4.99 a pop.  I have often wondered why, I am obviously not going to get the answer here

I have to say I've always looked at those embroidered toilet rolls and thought WTF?

You mean you don't all embroider your toilet rolls as soon as you get back from the supermarket with an 18 pack? What do you do with them then?  Other than pop them under the crocheted lady's crinoline skirt that is. Or the poodle.

Note to self:  Must learn to crochet properly so we can have a crocheted poodle toilet roll cover in both bathrooms

Not doing that. Will make them scratchy.
