Thank you Sakar, I've just corrected it.   :flower:

It's gorgeous Brenda, very classy :)

I was a little bit startled to see 'Page Last updated Saturday 7 November 2017 22:40 GMT' I'd had a little snooze but I didn't think it had lasted 5 months  8)

Hmmm!  I don't know what went wrong, the date is supposed to update itself to the last time it was altered.  I see that the home page also had an incorrect date.

I've just updated both of those pages and they are both now showing last updated 14 June 2017.
I'll check again tomorrow and hopefully they will both still show updated on 14 June.  If not it's either delete the fancy code and not show the updated bit, or poke around the internet and try to find something else that will show the date last updated

My web page tells me that it was summer 2015.  Two whole years ago.

I'll check again tomorrow and hopefully they will both still show updated on 14 June.

I've just checked, and refreshed he browser page and both are still showing as updated yesterday so whatever the blip was it seems to be sorted without doing anything other than 'uploading' to the server what was already there!

Says Computer ... You bet I do, says I ...

So Ladies, Germs, Lightsiders and Darksiders alike,
May I present

Iminei's Star Block Swap Quilt ... Finished!

Spoiler: show

The big problem with this quilt which I finally got round to assembling in 2017 was the lovely African fabric I wanted to use for backing was too small ... Far too small so a pieced back it had to be

This was started in September with a central star made with HST's some of the original swappees were kind enough to send me ..

Black and orange borders were added, then finally the African fabric.
It was still too small so a final black border with African cornerstones was added and we were go for layering!

At this time we had the hugely successful Mug Rat Swap followed hot on its heels by Sheilagos Basic Bagathon
Last week I got back to the Star Swap Quilt and began the quilting .... Black is not a good colour to quilt when your wadding is white and lights dim but by the end of the week it was done.

I found some great fabric that picked up the yellows oranges and purples in the quilt for the binding but decided the colours were too far from the bright yellow of the African fabric on the back so set to making a Flange binding.
That was soon attached and I had just to wake Elvis and get him to produce a fitting label and I could finally finish this long term UFO.

I completed the label yesterday and along with the quilts new name, finished up by blanket stitching the binding down ... during which my walking foot fell apart!!!  :o   :S

A new needle and The Splurgesses IDT foot installed and we raced over the finish line.

Not One, but Two lint rollers later and my Friends Quilt is now in position, draped over the other big chair in the dining room and waiting for the first person to snuggle into its embrace.
