Oh dear!  I very quickly learnt to turn bits right side out before I trimmed any seam allowances!
I don't think I've got any fake leather anything like yours, or I'd send you some.  I'll have a look later and see if I've got anything that might "go" - but got guttering to put up first.

@Bill

What I did notice was those threads on that fancy thread rack - not a good idea, looks pretty but the threads will deteriorate quickly in the light/open air. For general storage their preferred environment is in the dark.

I was wondering about that one yesterday funnily enough. Not over the effects of uv etc, but dust. There's a thin coating on the lesser used colours which I don't really want clogging up the machine.

@Bill you can always sew a dust cover for your thread rack.
You can't scare me. I taught high school for 32 years.

I'm now wondering if you curse me every time you do anything to your not-so-leather washbag  :P

To be honest @Bodgeitandscarper it's been a good learning experience and it's given me something to do  :)
I was warned it was a project for experienced sewists though
I'll get there...eventually  :)

As per our @Bodgeitandscarper I have now acquired the same pattern. Mines being done at the listed size from scraps for various reasons. Being p*** poor being the main reason  :P so it won't be as pleasant to look at as bodgies.
I believe I've completed the top pocket correctly although it's doubtful as I struggled to understand the instructions. Why would there be 2 separate panels for the bottom part of said pocket?  :S The mindeth boggleth.
I've probably done as much unpicking as bodgie through cockups uncertainty.
Please excuse the mess. Its normal here  :D

C'mom @Bill , that's only a teensy weensy little set-back - what's happened?  Did you run out of thread?

Nowhere near enough fabric to sew together. I noticed it after I'd trimmed the seam allowance.

The issue I face now is that I'm on my last strip of continous white zip. If it goes wrong again I'm doomed.

Undo a bit more back around the curve, that might allow you to steal a little extra to sew.  Did you trim the seam allowance before sewing??  :S

Nay. How to describe this in some form of English...
When I did the main sewing together before trimming, I'd caught too much of the fake leather on that corner. Only noticed after I'd trimmed and turned right side out. So in my wisdom and clear expertise, I undid a few stitches to peel back the leather thinking I'd have plenty left to resew. And voila! There isn't.

Oh dear!  I learnt very early on in my first washbag to check and double check before trimming seams  :S
