This will go on my belt, along with my quiver. It is used for my release (the trigger that releases the string) and other small items that need to be within easy reach. it came out pretty good, but I wish I’d made it a little wider. It’s big enough to hold what it has to, and my hand fits inside. But it just barely fit around the sewing machine’s free-arm, making it difficult to do some of the finishing.

That's nicely done. I may just copy it for use in the allotment.

Thanks all. @Goth Gardiner what is the allotment to which you refer?

I cut my fabric to 7" x 8" (all 4 pieces). If I ever do it again, I would make it 8 x 8, just to make it go over my machine's free-arm more easily. The outside fabric is cotton canvas (sometimes called cotton duck, though I don't know why.). The inside is brushed cotton (what I would call cotton flannel.) It was made from a shirt that my friend's youngest son had outgrown.

I think the nearest thing is a community garden - certainly I've seen what I would describe as an allotment called community gardens in Boston (a community garden in the UK is something different).

It's a patch of land that you rent for the purpose of growing food.

Yes, that is what we would call a community garden. A pouch for small tools or seeds to plant would come in handy.

@Sara-S it's from the Dutch word doek, meaning either cloth or linen cloth.

@Goth Gardiner I believe your community garden would be called a communal garden here.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.
