Hello everyone, yes its nearly time for our fourth contest of 2022, this one is for the garment sewists amongst us.

2. A set can be included as a single entry, so if you make several pairs of briefs, or a PJ top and PJ bottom you can show them together as a single entry.

Timeframe: Construction starts on 1st April and the item(s) must be completed by 30th April.
All entries need to be uploaded with the template and at least one photo by 4th May.

Template: Please submit your entries in this thread using this template

Details to include:
Your User Name and Entry Number (if entering more than once)
What it is with a short description on how you made it, any problems overcome etc.
Up to 4 photos

There will be a poll for Forum members to vote for their favourite(s).
(Number of votes will be proportional to the number of entries. If there are only 1 or 2 entries I won't run the poll.)

I'm going to be away (within the UK) for the next couple of weeks and no idea how much internet connectivity there will be.
So I have posted the April contest a few days early.

When I get back I will sew along with you, bralette or PJs I expect!

An immense sigh of relief heard around the country
As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."

Thirded sigh!
I may have a go, I bought a pattern for a bralette. I don't like underwires now, and also wear bratops all through the winter. I want some bralettes for summer, I like ones with the slightly padded cups for a better shape.
A day without sewing is a day wasted.

I don't have a lot of sewing time next month due to the Easter holidays but I have everything I need for some big knickers and this will be a good time to have a go (and get to grips with fold over elastic!)

It offers very light support and is more for coverage and comfort than gravity defiance.

The barbary bralette

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/788419962/printed-sewing-pattern-barbary-crop

It has a lot of variations, I am looking forward to trying it out. I have one from John Lewis that they no longer stock and I would like to imitate. I no longer find ones that fasten at the back comfortable, much prefer pulling them over my head.

I am thinking about this one, I have some woven cotton fabric that would suit undies/sleepwear. Would a dressing gown count?
