Hello sewing community,
I have been sewing for about 12 years and am a keen dressmaker based in Essex, UK. I have a craft room and try to spend at least half an hour in there every day, even if it's just deciding on a pattern or working out how to do the next step of whatever I'm making. It's my 'happy place', as I know it is for many of us. I was a member back when this was The Sewing Forum - I can't remember my old user name, but I do recall how helpful and friendly people were. Why are crafters such a nice bunch?  :loveit:. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to.

Hello and welcome from me @Sewnow :). It's a lovely group we have here and I'm sure you'll be able to benefit enormously from any advice you need, someone is sure to have the answer to anything you might be having problems with.

Welcome @Sewnow hope you’ll find lots to interest you here.
You’re right about the sewing room being your happy place.  Couldn’t agree more.  I get lost when I’m in mine.  :)

A warm welcome from me too. I, too, love spending time in my sewing room but always wonder why time goes so much faster in there than anywhere else?  -<

Hi and welcome   :D
As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."
