These are the stable fabrics (proper quilting fabrics) I plan to use for the real citrine blocks

I overdyed my background fabric and it is now a mottled dark blue/black (not quite as blue as it looks in this photo) and looks to be dark enough now, plus has sufficient yardage to be able to make a whole quilt worth of blocks.

I have got side tracked down the light side a bit but will be coming back to the Sparkling Stars in due course.
