Pillowcase to apron transformation challenge.

We are all going to a wedding in 2 weeks time and I thought my granddaughters , aged 1 and 3 could do with nice aprons to wear to protect their new dresses. Quilting fat quarters were not quite big enough to make them from, but then I came across 2 old pillowcases. I’m quite happy with how they’ve turned out, with the addition of some contrasting quilting fabric. I left the two layers of the pillowcase to make the skirt more protective and the bib section is lined with towelling for extra mopping up.D All done in 2 hours! :D

They are so pretty, I might just have to copy them for my GD.

Thanks for the inspiration.

What a great idea!  I would never have thought of using pillow slips.  Got me thinking now - I have loads of them!

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.
