Welcome @Adey1981  Jeans are probably the holy grail of sewing.  Once you've  got a good, well fitting pattern you can use it over and over again ( I know, I do).  My jeans pattern is also my go to crotch shape  when I make any other style of trousers.
I'm looking forward to seeing your first efforts.

Hello @Adey1981 and welcome from me too.
My first machine was a Frister and Rossman. It was my 21st birthday present and I used that machine for many many years. I taught my grandchildren to sew on it. I finally gave it away in the pandemic when people were calling out for machines to learn to sew on - I'd had it over 40 years at that point - I hope the new owners love it as much as I did. Enjoy your new hobby.
