Travel bag for my Singing Bowl

It’s just a lined drawstring bag. I made it, to take my smallest singing bowl with us on trips. We can meditate anywhere!
The only challenging part was that I made the casing a different way than I usually do, using the matching fabric.  I had to make it kind of narrow, as I made the whole thing out of a single fat quarter, so I only had so much of it.

I used flat paracord for the drawstrings, as I have a lot of it.  Anyway, here it is;

It's beautiful!  I love the fabric!
Is it lined with anything protective or just two layers of fabric?  I always worry about damaging my singing bowl when I travel with it (but I do only have one rights now so I'm protective off it).

It’s lined with the same cotton fabric as is on the outside.

@stephanelli is your singing bowl brass or crystal?

Oh nice!  It's brass - so I'm worried about getting dents or it getting bent in some way.  Perhaps I'm being overly cautious but I know I can be clumsy.

Ok, I'll ask, what is a singing bowl?

It's a bowl that can be made of brass or crystal. Mine is brass. It can be struck like a bell or rubbed around the outside, with a wooden mallet, to make sound. It is often used in meditation. Here is an example;

Here's ours. We got the bowl in Kathmandu and the table ( inlaid marble ) from Agra.
Sorry @Sara-S I meant to post the photo earlier but forgot  :facepalm:  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

@Lowena that is a lovely bowl! What is its diameter? (It looks large). I imagine it has a nice deep tone.

I have 3- the largest is 5" (12.75 cm) in diameter.

Looks lovely and I like the idea of it making sounds - but why does it need a bag?

@Greybird I think they take them with them to use when away from home. Mine is far more ornamental and never leaves the table it's on  :D

@Greybird I have 3 of these, in varying sizes.  The smallest one is just 3”- small enough to take with us on trips.  This way, we can meditate with it, wherever we are.
