Hi. I’m happy with my modern machines but older machines are beautiful to look at. Would need to sell one of the offspring to make room for one, though  >:)
Janome M50QDC - "Jane" - Small, cute and hard working. Pfaff Quilt Ambition 630 - "Pfanny" - Pfickle. Bernina L450 - "Bernie" - Very hungry. Bernina 830 Record - "Becky"

Hello and welcome from me too.
I also have a few old machines, and I enjoy tinkering with them.

Hello and welcome! I love the look of vintage machines but don't have any. No space!

@keepitsimple  welcome to TSP

I'm another who doesn't crave for a modern machine with a gazillion stitches that would never get used.  I'd rather spend the money on fabric and haberdashery.
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

Hello and welcome @keepitsimple.  I'm not from Brum but quite near in Walsall and I've been to Brum loads of times.

@Bodgeitandscarper - I was born in Sutton Coldfield (where I was born is now a car park!) but we moved to Streetly when I was 4.

Hello and welcome to TSP!

I'm not far from Brum in Warwickshire, and lived in Bham and then the Black Country for a while. I am also an admirer of vintage machines although I have reduced my collection down to 2 now (Singer 201k and an Elna Lotus SP).
Mostly a dressmaker with a few other crafts thrown in. Teetering on the Darkside. Owner of vintage machines Singer 201K and Elna Lotus SP (and a Brother Innovis 350SE and Pfaff Ambition 620)

Welcome to the forum @keepitsimple

I love the older machines too, can't beat that old-skool engineering!

welcome from me too. I have a mix of both - love the predictability and sheer horsepower of a vintage but am easily tempted by shiny things on my new computerised machine so |I have 2 of each.
