You have to look at the line drawings on the instructions readily downloadable from the Fibremood website for a given pattern if you can't get a good enough impression from the photos. I have a 5 issue subscription to the magazine which has traceable patterns, line drawings and instructions. It was £45 for 5 issues which includes postage and it arrives quickly. I think the traceable patterns are much clearer than the Burda magazine and I've seen several I like in each issue. The patterns go through the full size range - none of this business of segregating plus sizes. I think I'll carry on with the sub when this one has finished.
You can also buy individual pdfs of Fibremood patterns though I would wait for a sale. They do their pdfs in layers so you print out only the size you want - which my old printer can cope with. Some kind person here on TSP alerted me to their patterns a year or so ago when they had a free pattern offer.
