Nice to be here
« on: March 20, 2023, 08:08:21 AM »
Hello, thanks for letting me in! I'm a seamstress, and have been sewing & selling stuff for about 15 years, but I'm still learning! I came across the forum whilst looking for information prior to acquiring my latest machine, a Singer 15k treadle, which I'm having great fun learning to use. I have plenty of other machines, both vintage & new, all Bernina, Pfaff, Singer & Brother makes...ahem, rather too many, perhaps! Shall enjoy listening in, & contributing if I feel I have something worthwhile to say!

Welcome @ElizaD .

We love to hear about what people are doing - not always sewing-related, there is a lamb thread that starts at this time of year.  Think gambolling and fluffy rather than mint sauce  :)  And we like pics of your machines, makes, pets ...

@ElizaD Hello and welcome
Don't worry too much about having something useful to say, it is not a prerequisite to saying something as I know full well :laughing:
As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."

Look forward to seeing pictures of your projects!

Jessie, who is very happy to be here!!  :),  but who has far too many sewing machines to be healthy, and a fabric stash which is becoming embarrassing.

If there is one thing that I have learned from here, it us that you can't have too many machines. Hope to see some of what you make  :drink:
Janome M50QDC - "Jane" - Small, cute and hard working. Pfaff Quilt Ambition 630 - "Pfanny" - Pfickle. Bernina L450 - "Bernie" - Very hungry. Bernina 830 Record - "Becky"

A certain TSP member I met today might win the too many machines contest!  :scream:
